Goodbye Summer- It's Time for School

Monday was the beginning of a new school year at Everyday Academy. Nicholas and Drew always like waking up on the first day of school and seeing what new school supplies I have bought them. They also like seeing how I have decorated their classroom. This year was no exception. You can tell from the picture that they were excited about the new school supplies and the new school year.

In Bible, we learned about casting lots. Casting lots often meant tossing two flat stones on a table. The stones were painted black on one side and white on the other. If the rocks landed two whites up, the answer was yes; two blacks, the answer was no. One of each meant "wait". On Monday evening, Nick and Drew cast the lots we painted to see who would take a bath first.

The first day of school was a good day. It was, however, hard to say goodbye to summer!
