On Friday, May 15th, Drew attended Dillon County Relay for Life. She was proud to be a part of the entertainment for the evening. She and Brooke did a great job dancing. Thank you to Mrs. Faith Mew for allowing Drew to be a part of the events.

Little & Junior Miss Lumbee 2009 Pageant Practice Begins

Today was Drew's first day of practice for the pageant that will take place on Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Participating in Little and Junior Miss Lumbee takes a lot of hard work and dedication. Drew, Kayla and the sixteen contestants will practice at least twice a week from now until pageant night. There are eight girls competing for the title of Little Miss Lumbee 2009 and eight girls competing for the title Junior Miss Lumbee 2009. Drew was excited to start practice and meet all the girls today. I know that pageants often get a bad rap; however, Drew has made many friends through pageants. I suspect that during the time that she spends at practice over the next few weeks she will make a few more lifelong friends.
